“If I have good medical insurance why do I need travel insurance?”

Travel insurance is a way of minimizing the considerable financial risks associated with traveling – accidents, illness, flight delays/ cancellations and, in the worst possible case, death.

Essentially there are a number of different types of travel insurance with varying benefits. Many of you will already have a medical insurance policy in place which would cover the high-end medical costs abroad, but would not include things such as loss of baggage, trip cancellation, etc.
